GOF School Cultural Day was one of the most remarkable events that happened in the term. The event which took place on Tuesday, 20th February,2024 in the school hall was indeed colorful as students and teachers came out en mass in beautiful cultural wears. As usual, the cultural groups were Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa. The event was graced by heavy presence of parents and well wishers both physically and virtually. During the programme, the proprietor emphasized on the need of all and sundry to appreciate their cultural background so as to strike the lacuna of inferiority complex. Each of the cultural groups displayed its talents in dancing, drama and songs. Parents also participated actively on the day.

Another Cultural Day took place Thursday, 29th July, 2021. The event is one of the school programmes that showcase the celebration of different cultures of Nigerian ethnic groups geared towards making pupils and students appreciate our cultural heritage.

Among the events of the day was the display of some of the main cultural heritage of Nigerian tribes namely Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba. Among the presentations were evil recitation, group dance, “bata” dance and so on. The invited resource person, Mr. Gbeola Olufemi of Centre for Black Culture and International Relationship delivered a lecture on the topic: “Culture; A Universal Human Heritage.” The presence of many parents and guardians made the occasion grand as they added more glamour to the celebration. One of the most attractive, eye-catching and memorable displays was the unity dance staged by pupils and students.
